Awareness Event in Damascus Supports Children with Autism and Promotes Community Inclusion

The Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, in cooperation with the Ministry of Health and the Understand Me initiative, organized an awareness event at the Damascus Opera House to highlight the issues facing children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and promote greater community awareness.

The event featured musical performances by children, theatrical shows, artwork and drawings created by children with autism, as well as awareness activities emphasizing the importance of community inclusion and support.

Dr. Anas Al-Sheikha, President of Take My Hand Foundation, emphasized that such events help bring the voices of children with autism and their families to the wider community, raise awareness of their needs, and contribute to creating an environment that enables children to develop their abilities and interact positively with those around them.
